While growing up in NE Ohio, my favorite activities were scribbling, coloring, and making clothes for my dolls -- anything to do with art or crafts. Making my own paper dolls kept my attention for days at a time. I continued to try my hand at art and writing off and on during my school years, but didn't pursue a career in these areas

until I became restless in a medical transcription job. Switching to fashion design gave me a creative outlet for a while. But, the Lord had different plans for my life. He got a hold of me and drew me to himself. He changed my life, and my desires as well - as he so often does for his children. With the stress in the fashion industry soon becoming "over the top", and my desire for a greater purpose behind my work, I sought the Lord's guidance in career and ministry. Since I love children, I felt that this could be an area I was designed to work in; and started assisting in the children's ministry. It was then that I saw the need for fun, easy crafts and coloring pages to go with our curriculum - something extra to capture the little ones' short attention spans and reinforce learning. With my background in design and sketching, the "natural" thing for me to do was design simple crafts and color pages for them. At the same time, my sister needed crafts for her website, Danielle's Place, so I worked for her part-time, providing crafts, lessons and coloring pages for her website.

Its amazing to look back and see the Lord's hand in the events of our lives, even in the difficult times. During time off work because of a work injury, I had time to develop a lot of ideas for crafts. Soon, I had more ideas than I knew what to do with. I also had the desire to make available free Bible lessons and activities for children whose parents did not take them to church, and for Sunday School and preschool teachers. So, Bible Kids Fun Zone was born in 2002.

Now Bible Kids Fun Zone fun packs are combined into a membership site! Also, there is a new membership site with interactive, weekly Sunday School lessons designed specifically for toddlers (ages 2 and 3) with free lessons to sample. Its called Sunday School Fun Zone.
