Mark your Bible with the memory verse and read before class: Bible Verse: Psalms 139:13-14

Hi! Its me..George the Gingerbread Man! I hope you like this devotion. There's fun stuff to do at the end, but first lets hear the devotion.

Did you ever help your mom or dad make Gingerbread cookies? It can be really fun! You put everything together in a big bowl - just the right amount. Then you stir it up. Then you make a big, gooey ball out of the dough. Next, you roll out the big ball of dough with a rolling pin to make it flat. Then you take the gingerbread-shaped cookie cutter and make a bunch of little gingerbread men with that same cookie cutter. You place them on the cookie sheet and put them in the oven. You watch as they get big and plump. Um-m-m-m...they smell so good as they are baking! Then once they cool off, you decorate them. You can put different colors of icing on them and make their faces with different candies and, but basically they all end up looking pretty much the same. And they all taste the same too - like gingerbread men. Then after all your hard work ...you get to eat some of your own yummy cookies that you made! And, maybe you give some away as a Christmas gift too.

But, did you ever stop and think about the way God made you? Did you know that God made you in a very special way? He didn't just throw a bunch of ingredients together and hope it came out right. He made you special...just the way he wanted to make you. He took extra-special care to make you different from every other person with just the right amount of ingredients. Your hair and eyes are a different color. You are all a little different size and shape. Even if you're a twin, you are still a little different.

Some of us don't like how we look too much, but you know what? Nobody is better or worse. God loves us all just the same.

So, this Christmas season, when you are making gingerbread cookies, or shopping, or whatever. whenever you see gingerbread men, let it remind you about how God made you - That God loved you so much that he took special care to make you in a special way. Make sure you thank him for making you special.

I'm so glad God didn't make you with a cookie cutter? Let's say a prayer now and give thanks to God.
